It’s been a bustling last quarter and a retreat to Bohol was the perfect way to recharge. I spent my recent weekend at Bluewater Panglao to attend the resort’s annual tree lighting ceremony dubbed as “Pasko sa Bluewater.” The program which hosted a benifit dinner featuring a delicious buffet spread from Pepita’s Kitchen to raise funds for four different advocacies. The event was well attended by friends, partners and patrons of the resort, the media and ASEAN Summit delegates.
The festive buffet dinner was conceptualized under the supervision of award-winning Chef Dedet dela Fuente of Pepitas Kitchen. The special spread consisted of Chef Dedet’s creations including my favorites Sipit sa Sarap, Hiplog and Truffle-Rice stuffed lechon de leche. Will be putting a more detailed entry on blog about Hayop sa Sarap na Degustation by Pepitas Kitchen soon.
While everyone was having dinner, guests were entertained with perfromances from JAM 403, HNU Himig Diwa Chorale and Lumad Panglaoanon Cultural Troupe.
Proceeds from the benefit dinner will be donated to four beneficiaries namely Tawala Elementary School, Barangay Danao Clinic, Children’s Home Foundation inc. and Sunshine Home Orphanage.
“Pasko sa Bluewater” is my first tree lighting event this year and it sure made me feel like Christmas is just around the corner. Thanks for the wonderful weekend getaway and for being my home for three nights, Bluewater Panglao. Until the next one!
