A Walking Guide to Old Town Central, Hong Kong

Hong Kong is personally the easiest go-to international destination to shop and experience winter at the same time – well, less the snow. All my visits the previous years to HK were within late November to early March where the temperature’s still below 20 degrees Celcius. Living in a tropical country with only two seasons – hot and hottest, it’s pretty obvious why. Teehee.

This year’s visit was already a tad late for winter, end of March/early April, but gladly springtime was on my side and was #blessed with cool 14-20 degrees C the entire jaunt. And this vacation was extra, as it was my birthday trip!

For an over and above comfortable and convenient stay, I made Marco Polo Hong Kong my home for three days. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, it’s practically in the middle of the must-see, eat and go to spots in Hong Kong. And who wouldn’t be amazed by that stunning view of Victoria Harbour just peeking out the room window? Plus, going around Hong Kong is a breeze with Handy – a mobile pocket WiFi that is free to use during your stay at any of the three Marco Polo properties in Hong Kong. That’s truly regardful of the guests’ needs! Just love Marco Polo Hotels! <3

This itinerary is based from a sample tour published on the Best in Hong Kong book which I narrowed down to just six stops for a more relaxed walk; omitting the sidetracks to home decor, Pak Tsz Lane Park and Herbal tea shop.

For those who are looking for new things to explore in Hong Kong, not to mention very instagrammable, this itinerary might just be the one for you.

And if you’ve done the Old Town Central Walking Tour already, do drop some tips and please recommend some stores to shop. 😉
