Kalanggaman Island is one of Leyte’s famous destinations, known for its clear waters and long stretch of sand bar. For the information of some who doesn’t know yet, Kalanggaman comes from the bisaya word “langgam” which means bird. As per a guide, the island is called such because it used to be one of the islands where varieties of migratory bird pass by. Also, from a bird’s eye view, the island is shaped like a bird with its wings spread out.
Many of us would only stay on the sandy part of the island and may have not seen the opposite half of the island. For those who haven’t seen the beautiful and tranquil side of Kalanggaman, here is a teaser! This part of the island gives you the best view of the sunset on a clear day. 😉
Tag your friends who’ll love to chill with you at this side of the island. 😉
